The Family Policy Alliance needs our help to save girls sports.
The ACLU wants to enable biological boys to compete in girls sports. Once a champion of girls’ sports – now the ACLU wants to turn boys into girls’ sports champions by using a federal law, Title IX. The law was enacted to prevent discrimination against women and girls in educational opportunities, including in school sports. It has helped ensure that girls are not kept on the sidelines. Historically, Title IX has been used — by the ACLU itself — to advance opportunities for girls and women. But now, the ACLU, has filed a lawsuit to exploit Title IX to let biological men steal those very opportunities from girls. Why is allowing boys to play on girl's sports teams unfair to girls? It is unfair because biological boys have numerous physiological advantages that make it hard or even impossible for female athletes to compete against them. Males have greater bone density, muscle mass, and larger hearts and cardiovascular capacity than girls. Even cross-sex hormones don't lessen a biological boys physiological advantage over girls. In contrast to the ACLU claims, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights recently ruled that a policy allowing boys to compete on girls’ teams violates Title IX. The Department’s reasoning is that if we allow biological boys on girls’ sports teams, we are denying girls the opportunity to compete fairly because the boys have a biological advantage that can take away winning spots in competitions and scholarships from girls.
